Prime Intellect Joins the NVIDIA Nemotron Coalition to Advance Open Frontier Models
We're excited to share that we are joining the NVIDIA Nemotron Coalition.
If you've been following frontier open models, you know the hard part isn't pretraining anymore — it's turning a capable base model into an agent that reliably gets real work done. That's the gap we've spent the last year building for, and it's exactly what we're bringing to the coalition.
We're joining alongside Black Forest Labs, Cursor, LangChain, Mistral AI, Perplexity, Reflection AI, Sarvam, Naver, H Company, Nous Research, and Thinking Machines Lab — a group of open model builders and AI developers pushing frontier-level open models forward through shared research, data, and compute. Each partner contributes a different piece: multimodal capabilities, evaluation datasets, agent harnesses, broader language coverage.
Our contribution starts around post-training and reinforcement learning (RL) environments — the substrate that post-trains a frontier model into something that actually completes tasks. That means our 2,500+ open RL environments, the verifiers framework, Prime Sandbox, and NeMo Gym integration, all natively integrated into the NVIDIA ecosystem incl. Nemotron. Concretely, it gives developers and enterprises a turnkey path to specialize Nemotron models for their own industries, regions, and workflows — with a continuous improvement loop that's already running in production, not a research demo.
Everything we contribute ships Apache-2.0 / CC-BY-4.0, released in lockstep with the Nemotron model drops. Open weights deserve open environments.
What Prime Intellect contributes

- The Environments Hub — 2,500+ RL environments with 400+ contributors today, across SWE, terminal, browser and computer use, tool calling at scale, long-context reasoning, instruction following, math, science, competitive programming, factuality/calibrated abstention, cybersecurity, data/analytics, and Isaac-aligned robotics sim.
- The verifiers framework and Prime Sandbox runtime, integrated with NeMo Gym.
- Scaling more high quality open RL environments for Nemotron post-training to continuously improve Nemotron further.
- A hosted post-training loop with Prime Intellect Lab that lets any team take a Nemotron model and specialize it on their own workflows and data using our hosted training offering.
High-leverage domains for Nemotron post-training
We see especially high leverage for open RL post-training of Nemotron across domains like software engineering, computer and tool use, financial services, data and analytics, and scientific research.
In each of these areas, enterprises can plug their proprietary data into open environment templates, including inside their own VPC or on-prem deployments, keeping data sovereign while getting the full coalition recipe.
Open frontier models enable everyone to participate at the frontier of AI research and product development, but the model is only half the story. The other half is the loop: environments, RL, evaluation, and continuous improvement on real work. Prime Intellect is proud to contribute the open RL environments layer to the Nemotron Coalition, so any team can post-train Nemotron and ship agents that win on their workflows.
Why it matters
As a coalition, the open ecosystem can now offer the full post-training loop — environments, RL trainer, evaluations, inference, and continuous learning — around a frontier-level open model family powered by NVIDIA's GPUs. By contributing the open RL environments layer alongside NVIDIA and the other members, Prime Intellect helps make Nemotron not just an open model, but an open agent platform that any team can specialize on their own work.
